Creamy Jalapeño-Lime Butter

Ingredients

  • 1 C butter, 2 sticks, at room temperature
  • 4 oz cream cheese, low fat is fine, avoid fat free, at room temperature
  • ¼ tsp garlic, finely minced
  • 2 tsp fresh lime juice, more to taste, if desired, plus zest from the lime
  • 12 tsp jalapeno, finely minced
  • 23 Tb fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Beat butter and cream cheese together until well blended and light and fluffy.
  2. Add in garlic, lime zest, lime juice, jalapeño, and cilantro.
  3. Mix until everything is well distributed.
  4. Spread on bread or corn bread.
  5. When not in use, store in fridge and bring to room temperature before serving again.
