Short Crust Patstry with Lard
Ingredients
- 500 g All purpose flour (18oz)
- 125 g Butter, cold (4.4oz)
- 125 g Lard, cold (4.4oz)
- 90 g Water, icy cold (6tbls)
- 8 g Salt (1 tsp)
Savory Short Crust Pastry
Ingredients
- 340 g All Purpose Flour (12oz)
- 170 g Butter, very cold (6oz)
- 65 g Water, ice cold
- 8 g Salt (1 tsp)
Instructions
- Using a food processor with blade tool, add the flour, salt, and cold butter.
- Pulse until you have a fine breadcrumb consistency, 30-45 seconds.
- With the machine running, slowly pouring in the ice-cold water.
- Run until pastry starts rolling around the machine, 30-45 seconds.
